Great to hear you're nearing the Finish Line...also not to be confused with Walk The Line or the Conga Line.

It's good to know when to say when. Leave something (i.e. a song or two) in the tank for the next project. Never have everything totally finished - makes restarting harder later.

For album art, I kind of like the idea of the logo, maybe incorporated with a "timekeeping" theme (not the clock - see link - per se, but something along those lines...
Oh man, a protest song against protest songs! Now that would be sweet. I got a good chuckle thinking about Bob - yes, I suppose he would be ready to protest now; heheh. Nobody's every really satisfied, but that's what keep's this crazy country hummin', eh?

I really like the sound of AiKiDo (although that spelling makes my head spin). Fits in with my approach to life. I've been thinking about how my basketball league is like combat, whereas I'm more in the mood for cooperation these days. It must be somewhat unsettling to my "opponents" that I play most games with a slight smile on my face.

Glad to hear the music is happening, my friend! Play on...

Everything counts!

You've done enough crappy bar gigs. You're time for classier gigs has arrived.

Do what you want. Have fun! It will be good.

The song sounds great, and your singing works quite nicely! Well done.
Hey, of course I read this! Thanks for the kind words. Back at ya, bro. Or, in current movie parlance, I love you, man.

Well as “they” say, some stress is good stress, if it helps motivate you and keep you moving toward your goals. The stress that feels overwhelming, like you can’t handle your load, that’s bad stress. Sounds like you’ve got a mix of both, so the trick is to figure out which is which and let the bad stuff go. What happens happens, and I know from experience (high school choir gigs, mostly) that musical things have a way of coming together at the last minute. Especially when you’re dealing with pros ;-) ;-) If things come together too soon, then you over-rehearse and get all up in your head about stuff too much. This way, you just DO IT.

And yeah, parts of it will probably suck, not go right, disappointment with certain aspects. Does that ever NOT happen at a gig? I think not.

Take care, and enjoy the rainy weekend! Looking forward to the Conchords. Oh yeah.
And I do like David's 'slogan'. Part of me feels evil by letting people see behind the curtain of the 'effortless' music making.
